SUMMER SCREAM RETURNS TO LAKESIDE AMUSEMENT PARK WITH ONE-OF-A-KIND IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Tickets on sale at denverfilm.org

DENVER – July 5, 2022 – Denver Film announced today that it will host its 10th annual Summer Scream, August 25 from 6-11 p.m. at the historic Lakeside Amusement Park, 4601 Sheridan Blvd. Tickets for the age 21-plus, end-of-summer event are on sale at denverfilm.org. Early bird tickets, available through July 17 or while supplies last, are $45 for Denver Film members and $55/non-member. Four-pack tickets are also available for a limited time at $200. Following early bird availability, regular price event tickets are $55/member, $65/non-member with day-of tickets available for $65/member and $75/non-member.

After a two-year hiatus, Summer Scream celebrates its decade anniversary with unlimited rides, nightlong open bars, live music by DJ Bella Scratch, and a one-time immersive experience exploring Lakeside’s rich history, including artifacts not seen for generations.

“We literally threw everything, including the kitchen sink, at Lakeside for this year’s Summer Scream,” said Chris Getzen who, along with Andrew Novick served as immersive creators for this year’s event. “Missing two years means people missed out on two years of jollification and merrymaking at Lakeside, so we’ve got a lot to make up for. What’ll make this one must-see and must-be is that you’re going to get glimpses of the Lakeside Amusement Park that was, the Lakeside Amusement Park that is right now, and the Lakeside that could be and hasn’t been yet.”

Summer Scream is the only private, cultural event to take over Denver’s iconic Lakeside Amusement park – all in support of Denver Film.

“We’re looking forward to closing out our summer of celebration the way it’s meant to be, in-person, screaming on the classic rides of Lakeside Amusement Park,” said Denver Film CEO Kevin Smith. “In addition to the rides, music and cocktails, the immersive experience will no doubt rekindle childhood memories from iconic elements of the park that have been a part of our community for well over a century.”
