How do we do it? We present you, our community of film-lovers, the opportunity to interface with film in a variety of settings and ways. We offer the young and the old, the intellectual and the sensationalist, the truth seeker and the fantasy lover the chance to discover, to escape, and to grow through film. We are most proud of our ability to create dialogue around challenging historic or current issues through film. We do this by hosting filmmakers, topical experts, and educators and presenting the opportunity for discussions at the Starz FilmCenter year-round. Our biggest spotlight on the art form happens during the course of the twelve-day Starz Denver Film Festival each November where over 200 local, national, and international films are presented with more than 150 filmmakers in attendance. In addition, every summer for the past 11 years, we have given devoted audiences an opportunity to see beloved masterpieces at Red Rocks Amphitheatre’s Film on the Rocks.
Less than 50% of Denver Film Society's operating revenue is achieved through ticket sales. To maintain our year-round programming and educational offerings, we rely upon the generosity of private individuals like you. Please consider making a donation to the Denver Film Society today. To make your contribution even stronger, The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado has provided us a grant that will match all new donations, or donations increased from previous years. We are deeply grateful for this support of our “I Heart Film” campaign and hope you will join in helping us reach our 2010 fundraising goal of $25,000.
Your donation, combined with any matching funds from your company (if applicable, your HR department would have the appropriate forms), will be utilized to support the Denver Film Society’s annual programs and to purchase much needed equipment such as a refurbished digital projector.
